Report from Samaritan’s Purse: “God did extraordinary things around the world through Operation Christmas Child in 2019! We are thankful that more than 10.5 million children shoeboxes were collected for boys and girls across the globe. That means millions of children will now get to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ!”

Righteousness
We try and try, but we just can’t do it,
Human effort just won’t cut through it.
Righteousness does not come naturally,
It does not become visible for all to see
Until we give the job to Him to do
Cause we can’t do it, not me, not you
It only comes in just one way,
By the grace of God it comes to stay,
We see we’re sinners and let Jesus in,
So He can help us defeat our sin,
His great righteousness overflows.
And if we’re His, to us it goes,
So we thank Him for sharing His perfect gift
And giving our weary souls a lift,
That picks us up when we are down,
And takes us closer to a crown.

We Look to You
We look to you, almighty God for everything we need.
We know that it all came from You, each plant, each root, each seed,
You made the very air we breathe, each drop of water too,
Because You knew we needed each of them to get us through.
Our capacities are limited, our vision often askew
We miss the things we ought to see to draw us close to You,
This life is full of challenges.of trials that test us all,
Adam and Eve didn’t make it; and they took a nasty fall,
That has had a definite impact on all the human race,
It opened up a pathway that led to sorrow and disgrace,
But You would not leave us foundering in unforgiven sin,
So You sent Your Son to save us, remake us from within.
What we cannot do on our own His Spirit helps us change.
Our thoughts, our attitudes, our very focus He comes to re-arrange
We need Your loving guidance to keep us in Your way
To prepare us for our destiny, that going to heaven day.
